This knife is a
faithful reproduction of the
Anconetano knife,
type of
regional knife in use since the mid-19th century on the shores of the central Adriatic coast as it represented the fisherman's faithful tool.
What characterizes this product is the unique
spring mechanism of its kind as it consists of a flat spring that is screwed onto the back of the handle, very reminiscent of the ratchet spring but with an opening system equal to that of the simple spring knife. The blade is made of
MA5M steel while the full-tip handle is made of
horn and has a small "step" on the initial end that was used to reel in fishing nets.
