According to historical records, it was also used by the people of Avigliano as a real weapon for attacks and murders. Its 10 cm long blade is fixed and curved and is made of steel with a ratchet spring opening system while the buffalo horn handle is enriched by a nickel silver band, an alloy of zinc, copper and nickel characterized by a excellent resistance to corrosion.
