The polyrattan fibers are the highest quality available on the market (VIRO/REHAU). They are made of a special high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and certified to withstand even extreme weather conditions and climates, without suffering significant structural damage and preserving their colorfastness. Where necessary, we recommend using microfiber cloths, neutral detergents, and warm water to clean these fibers.

Selected Indonesian teak wood , sourced from controlled and sustainable forests (INDONESIANLEGALWOOD). Teak is considered the finest wood available for outdoor furniture. It is extremely durable, stable, and resistant to weather, fungi, pests, and insects. It contains high levels of natural oils that make it resistant and limit moisture absorption. Over time, teak furniture exposed to sun, rain, humidity, etc. generally tends to turn a silvery-gray color: this is due to a surface oxidation process that naturally protects the wood. This process is purely aesthetic and does not damage the structure or quality of the wood. The appearance of oil on the surface of teak furniture is a natural process: the oil may appear during the first few months, to a greater or lesser extent depending on the environment in which the furniture is placed. The natural oils present in teak are what make it the best wood for outdoor furniture.
We do not recommend placing new teak furniture outdoors near porous stone floors, at least until the oil has subsided. We do not recommend leaving cushions in direct contact with teak surfaces during this process, as they will likely become stained (fabrics stained with natural teak oil can still be cleaned with water and mild soap). The amount of oil that leaks from the teak during the first few months will be more abundant and therefore more likely to cause stains on surfaces and fabrics.
Because teak is a naturally oily wood, it is not suitable for painting. Any finish applied will not adhere properly to the surface and will eventually begin to deteriorate. We do not recommend using wood oil on teak: it offers no additional protection; in fact, excess external oil can lead to mold growth on the dark surface layers. These stains can then only be removed with aggressive sanding.
